About Oleana:

The Oleana knitwear is made outside Bergen on the West coast of Norway. The collection includes knitwear, skirts, scarf, wristlets and blankets.

Oleana uses the finest natural materials, silk, wool and alpaca, to create sweaters and cardigans in amazing colors that you will make you feel pampered and loved.
Oleana’s previous designer, Solveig Hisdal, was inspired by the patterns and colours found in cities and cultures located along the ancient silk road, and beyond.

In 2018 they brought in a new head of design, Matilda Norberg. Design has always been the most crucial competitive tool, and Matilda’s strong, fashion-conscious work follows in that tradition. Vivid with energy, creativity and humor, the new line is multifaceted and directed towards new customers.
Oleana is an urban woman, busy at work, with high demands and high goals. She might be in the start of her career and uses our knits to dress for work –representation, travel and meeting. She wants to dress in line with conventions, while still making a statement. She wants to be responsible when it comes to sustainability and wants to wear clothes with a story she can be proud of, giving her the soft power she needs.

Oleana garments are knitted, pressed, linked, sewn, quality checked and packaged in the factory. They keep stable and long-lived relationships with their suppliers of yarn, buttons and other details. Sourcing materials from Europe, using Italian spinners, German glass-button casters, Swiss weavers and Italian zipper producers.

Oleana creates two collections each year. The collection includes new designs as well as additional colors for previous designs.
