When we go on a buying trip we usually place a small order with a company that is new for us.  This year when we were at the Designer and Agents show in New York, we brought in some items from Japanese Basco Net, and from Neesh D.A.R., an American company making a collection in Lithuania where linen grows.

Privatsachen

Privatsachen is a German brand, designed by Connyie Rethmann for the past 30 years.  The focus is on natural fibres and the production is in Hamburg.  I have wanted to include Privatesachen in Urbanity since I met the brand in 2005.  Finally we have brought a small collection of organic Cotton dresses, and cotton/linen tops and jackets.

McVerdi

McVerdi is a Danish company that was started by Lotte Honoré in 1987 designing raincoats.  In fact, the same wool-lined waterproof raincoat has been made since 1987, and we have carried it for the past 7 years.  Lotte’s designs are made to make you feel and be comfortable, and feminine.  Her designs have a beautiful shape and fit. We suggest you read about the fabrics on the McVerdi website.
