Guest Artists

URBANITY invites young Vancouver artists to hang their work on the walls of the shop for a given period of time. The works are for sale, and URBANITY takes no commission. In this way the artists gain exposure, and the shop enjoys changing professional work on the walls.

We also occasionally feature textile artists in "Spotlight" shows. Previously we have shown a series of dresses by Katherine Soucie, and part of a series of jackets by Angelika Werth.

During September and October 2011, we will be hosting two exhibitions--
Jools Elphick, and 'Felt Amazing' with 12 national and international felt artists.

Welsh sculptor weaver Sue Hiley Harris will be visiting Urbanity at the end of February 2012. More information HERE.
